Lawrence Bond Vigil, Kentish Town Job Centre
The vigil was organised by Kilburn Unemployed Workers Group with WinVisible disabled women’s group and supported by Camden Momentum and Unite Community Camden. It took place at midday outside the Jobcentre in Kentish Town Road.
Amongst the speakers, was Labours John McDonnell MP, Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, Ken Loach, Rev Paul Nichols as well as many speakers including friends and family of Laurence Bond who sadly passed away whilst leaving the Job Centre 2 weeks ago.
Camden New Journal report of the event is here. I took film footage and stills for this... maybe I will use some footage in the final film or have it as one of the short seperate film. Not sure what method I will use to screen any of the film yet, but interested in the idea of seperate areas instead of one block film as we have so much variation in the group.
Here I was able to film people instead of having to obscure the camera to protect peoples identity. Making this more of documentary type work than that of an art piece.
